After visiting a mine in upstate New York I started to
think about absent/inverted material. This led me to
an association chain including; the Statue of Liberty,
Joan Didion, haunting doubles, number 51, taxidermy, closed eyes, solar eclipses, and the color blue. I wondered how the mountain and the eagle felt about being national American symbols. I see the mine as
a submerged eye that looks back at us.

Filmed collages together with an unsynced sound create a new narrative every loop.
